Midnight tonight. There will be a frenzy at Wal-Mart of people buying this game. I pre-ordered it back in November from Amazon.com, so I won’t have it for a few days. Some members of the gaming group I belong to are taking the day off tomorrow to play it…all day and night long. It’s going to be the favorite game of this quarter among the group.

I think I’ll be the only one that won’t have it until next week, which means everyone will already out rank me and have more experience than I will. But I’m sure I’ll catch up. No, I won’t play every night, but maybe twice a week. Maybe more if anyone plays during the day.

MAG (Massive Action Game)┬áis a First Person Shooter (FPS). I normally don’t like FPS, but I played the beta and it was exciting and frustrating. I had no idea what the heck the objective was and what I was supposed to be doing other than killing the enemies. Thank goodness I was playing with my gaming group instead of strangers. Ladies, I’ll say this now. If you like to play online games and you don’t belong to a group that plays together, then send me a message. I’ll tell you about the group I belong to. They are a fantastic, mature bunch of guys and gals.

I guess I’ll post again once I’ve had a chance to play.

I would have to say the Grand Theft Auto series is my absolute favorite game of all time. Crazy, right? Unusual for a woman, right? Not really. I know the game has had it’s share of controversy over the years because of how some of the women in the game are dipicted, and yeah, I don’t like some of it, but the game play overall is awesome.

When GTA IV came out I had a standard TV. I didn’t think the graphics were all that great based on the comments people left in the PS3 forums on how awesome the graphics were. So I decided to buy a HDTV. WOW!! What a huge difference. I was able to see things so much better. And I knew it would make a difference. I just hated the thought of spending money on a TV when I had one that worked perfectly well.

I’ve played every GTA game made for the Playstation. And right now I’m trying to think of which one is my absolute favorite. I’ll need some time.

I’ve been playing video games since the late 70’s. I think it was 1978 when my Dad got us the Atari 2600 for Christmas and the first game I played was Pong. I still play video games and will until I physically can’t anymore.

I’m a casual gamer. I like just a handful of games. I don’t go out and buy new games because I refuse to spend that much money on a game when I know if I wait awhile it will be on sale or I can get it used at GameStop.

I’ve had my PS3 for a year now. When I bought Grand Theft Auto IV, it was the first time that I’ve ever played online. I started perusing the Playstation forums because I kept hearing about clans and I wanted to know what exactly that meant. After a few days, I came across a thread about gamers over 30. That certainly caught my attention since I’m over 30. Not only were the posters over 30, but there were a couple females too! They provided a URL so I went to it and checked it out. Wow, these people play a lot of different games and on different platforms. They even played my favorite games! So of course, I joined. What the heck, right? I posted a short introduction and got flooded with welcomes. Everyone was so friendly.

So what is this over 30 gaming club you ask? It’s called the Beautiful People’s Club, or BPC for short. No, you don’t have to be beautiful to join. We’re not competitive. We help each other out and watch each others backs. We play to have fun. It makes a difference to play with a group of people you have come to know, even if only through words in a forum and playing in game together, than playing with random strangers.

If you are over 30, or even if you’re not but want to play with a group of good people and have fun, check out the webiste at www.beautifulpeoplesclub.org. You’ll find that we talk about all kinds of topics other than gaming. It’s a great community. And if you are a female gamer, there are a few of us in the BPC, but it would be great to have more. I can promise you, you will never be harassed in our club.

So with that, my fellow gamers, I bid farewell for now. And who knows, maybe I’ll see you in game!
